My name is Jenny and I have always been in love with baking. It started at a young age watching my mother cook 3 course meals for dinner every night. I always admired how much work she put into what she made. A couple of years ago, I gave up my career to go back to school and become a pastry chef. Since finishing school in January of 2014, I got married and became a mom of two littles (with a third on the way). I have decided it’s time to show just how realistic life is when we are pursuing our dreams. They are hard to obtain and sometimes our dreams change. But, that’s ok! I still love to cook and bake! Now my focus has shifted, but that doesn’t mean I don’t still have fun hobbies 🙂

Baking… and cooking for that matter, have become a sort of lost art among people of my generation. This is probably due to lack of time, perhaps interest, patience… but not skill. Everyone has the ability to grill a great filet or bake a crème brulee. That’s why I have decided it is my job to show people just how easy(ish) it can be.

Inside this blog you will find my favorite recipes, kitchen tips and tricks, DIY party decorations, and perhaps a few wedding/party planning tips in between. There are even a few things I don’t know how to do, so I will be conducting “Kitchen Experiments” to test them out. If the possibility of watching me “Pinterest Fail” isn’t incentive enough to read, I don’t know what is!
